I am new to exercise, is Invictus Fitness for me?

At our gym, we will meet everyone where they are with a program that best fits their abilities.

What is the difference between Fitness and Performance programs?

Fitness is designed to improve your strength and body composition without relying on weightlifting or gymnastic movements.  It is a great program for anyone mostly looking to stay in shape.

Performance is centered around skill, power, and conditioning with complex movements employing the use of barbells and higher skill gymnastics. It is a typical high intensity, functional fitness workout.

If you are interested in training for high level competitive functional fitness events, please reach out to us.

What are your hours of operation?

The gym is staffed from 5am until 8:30pm on weekdays and 9am until 1pm on weekends.

Do you offer discounts?

We offer a 10% discount for students, 15% for active military & first responders, and 20% for additional family members.

Do you offer open gym options?

Our unlimited membership includes access to the "Open Gym" side during all staffed hours as well as the "Class" side of the gym when classes are not being hosted.

Do you require long-term contracts and am I locked into a membership agreement?

We offer the flexibility of month to month memberships for those who are not looking to commit to a long-term agreement.

Can I come for a drop-in session if I am in town traveling?

Drop-ins are always welcome! Our rate is $30 for single visits. Send us an email at info@invictuswashingtondc.com to plan ahead!

Do you have parking on-site?

Free parking is available near the facility. We are only a few blocks from the Navy Yard-Ballpark metro station.  Many people walk, bike, or scooter to the gym.

What are your amenities?

We have a recovery station in the lobby area, showers in the restrooms, many shelves for storage, and we have refreshing snacks and drinks available for purchase.

I am returning from an injury, what can I do?

In nearly all cases, we will be able to modify training to fit your needs and protect your body and health.  Always inform your coach about your injury prior to training so that they can most effectively help you. We always recommend you consult with a medical professional prior to returning to the gym and if a medical professional has advised you to not workout for any reason, we recommend following their advice.

How are memberships separated?

Personal Training clients do not need other memberships to come to their sessions but will if they wish to come to classes/open gym. Weightlifting monthly membership includes equipment access and guidance during the coaching hours, but not programming.
