Provide a first class facility that has the resources and knowledge for any athlete, regardless of ability, to achieve their health and fitness goals.
A former Marine Corps Reconnaissance operator and 27 year veteran in the US Government with experience in high-stakes operations. At the age of 43, Mike embarked on a new adventure: diving into the world of CrossFit as an athlete.
With a background forged in the crucible of the Marine Corps, Mike understood the importance of physical fitness in demanding environments. His years of service, including leadership roles in operations within the Marine Corps as well as the US Government, honed his mental resilience and determination.
Despite starting later in life, Mike didn't just participate in CrossFit; he embraced it wholeheartedly. His journey led him to compete at the highest levels of the sport, consistently ranking in the top percentile of his age group.
In 2021, driven by his love for helping others achieve their fitness goals and the philosophies of INVICTUS, Mike, under the blessing of CJ Martin took a bold step and opened Invictus Washington DC. Drawing on his experience as a leader in the military as well as in USG operations, he envisioned a gym that went beyond physical training-a place where individuals could push their limits, support each other, and foster a sense of camaraderie while building a community of just good humans who love to support one another.
Today, Invictus Washington DC stands as a testament to Mike's dedication and passion for CrossFit and overall general physical preparedness to include mental health. It's more than just a gym; it's a community built on resilience, teamwork, and the relentless pursuit of excellence to one's self. And at the heart of it all is Mike, leading by example and showing that age is never a barrier to achieving the goal of being the best version of yourself.
